Recognised as one of the most promising pianists of his generation, 23-year-old Serbian pianist Bogdan Dugalić has won over 30 top prizes in national and international piano competitions – among them the Maj Lind, the Santa Cecilia and the Málaga competitions. He has performed in major concert halls around the world including the Berliner Philharmonie, the Mariinsky Concert Hall, the Helsinki Music Centre, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and has appeared as soloist with such renowned orchestras as the Helsinki Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Serbian Radio Orchestra, under the baton of prominent conductors including Valery Gergiev, Anna-Maria Helsing, Eivind Aadland.

The Pharos Arts Foundation continues its collaboration with the Málaga International Piano Competition for another year, bringing the 2025 Competition’s First Prize winner to Cyprus – Bogdan Dugalić, who also received the Audience Award, the Chamber Music Prize, and the Junior Jury Prize. For his Cyprus debut, Dugalić is set to impress with his dazzling virtuosity and musical conviction in a programme ranging from Chopin’s youthful lyricism to the introspective and monumental sound worlds of Liszt, framed by Mokranjac’s modern idiom. The recital, which is supported by the Embassy of Serbia in Cyprus, will take place on Thursday 19 March at The Shoe Factory, Nicosia / 8:30pm.

Born in 2003 into an artistic family in Serbia, Bogdan Dugalić is already recognised as one of the most promising pianists of his generation. He has performed in major concert halls including the Berliner Philharmonie, the Mariinsky Concert Hall, the Helsinki Music Centre, Auditorio de Tenerife, Casa da Música in Porto, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Stormen Concert Hall in Norway, Teatro Cervantes in Málaga, L’Alàntida de Vic in Catalonia, the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment and the Sava Center in Serbia.

Dugalić has won over 30 prizes in national and international competitions, the most significant of these being the First Prize at the Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition (2025), the First Prize, Audience Award, Chamber Music Prize, and Junior Jury Prize at the Málaga International Piano Competition (2025), and the Second Prize and the Chamber Music Prize at the Maj Lind International Piano Competition (2022).

As a soloist, Bogdan Dugalić has appeared with such renowned orchestras as the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Porto Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the Serbian Radio Orchestra, the Belgrade Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Strings of Saint George, collaborating with prominent conductors including Valery Gergiev, Anna-Maria Helsing, Roberto Tibiriçá, Dorian Keilhack, Eivind Aadland, Bojan Suđić, and Srboljub Dinić.

A graduate of the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where he studied with Professor Pavel Gililov, Bogdan Dugalić currently continues his artistic development with Professor Konstantin Bogino at the Accademia Perosi in Biella.

Έχοντας ήδη αναγνωρισθεί ως ένας από τους πλέον υποσχόμενους πιανίστες της γενιάς του, ο 23χρονος Σέρβος πιανίστας Bogdan Dugalić έχει κερδίσει περισσότερα από 30 κορυφαία βραβεία σε εθνικούς και διεθνείς διαγωνισμούς – αναμεσά τους ο Διαγωνισμός Μαΐ Λιντ Φινλανδίας, ο Διαγωνισμός Σάντα Τσετσίλια, και ο Διαγωνισμός Πιάνου της Μάλαγας. Συνεχίζοντας για ακόμη μία χρονιά τη συνεργασία του με τον Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Πιάνου της Μάλαγας, το Ίδρυμα Τεχνών Φάρος παρουσιάζει στην Κύπρο τον Bogdan Dugalić, ο οποίος απέσπασε όχι μόνο το Πρώτο Βραβείο αλλά και το Βραβείο Κοινού, το Βραβείο Μουσικής Δωματίου και το Βραβείο της Κριτικής Επιτροπής Νέων στον Διαγωνισμό του 2025. Για το ντεμπούτο του στην Κύπρο, ο Dugalić αναμένεται να εντυπωσιάσει με την άκρατη δεξιοτεχνία και την ερμηνευτική του δεινότητα, ερμηνεύοντας ένα πρόγραμμα υψηλών απαιτήσεων, που εκτείνεται από τον νεανικό λυρισμό του Σοπέν έως τους μύχιους και μνημειώδεις ηχητικούς κόσμους του Λιστ, πλαισιωμένους από το σύγχρονο ιδίωμα του Βασίλιε Μοκράνιατς. Το ρεσιτάλ, το οποίο στηρίζει η Πρεσβεία της Σερβίας στην Κύπρο, θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Πέμπτη 19 Μαρτίου στο The Shoe Factory, Λευκωσία / 8:30 μ.μ.
