Born in Nicosia in 1959, Sivakas studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Dimitris Mytaras, Yannis Moralis, Panagiotis Tetsis, and Nikos Kessanlis. His work is distinguished by precise draftsmanship, a restrained palette, subtle tonal transitions, and a poetic atmosphere that transforms everyday objects and human figures into vessels of memory, nostalgia, and contemplation.

Deeply influenced by ancient Greek art, the Byzantine tradition, and particularly the Fayum portraits, Sivakas developed a distinctive visual language that combined figurative representation with symbolism and existential reflection. During the later years of his career, he devoted himself extensively to Byzantine iconography while continuing to experiment with new materials and forms of expression.

Throughout his artistic career, he held solo exhibitions in Athens and Nicosia and participated in important group exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece. His works are included in public and private collections, including the State Gallery of Contemporary Cypriot Art.

Η Γκαλερί Γκλόρια παρουσιάζει, από τις 17 Ιουνίου έως τις 2 Ιουλίου 2026, μια σημαντική αναδρομική έκθεση αφιερωμένη στον Κύπριο ζωγράφο και αγιογράφο Πάρι Σίβακα (1959–2018), τιμώντας τη μνήμη και το καλλιτεχνικό του έργο οκτώ χρόνια μετά τον πρόωρο θάνατό του. Η έκθεση εγκαινιάζεται την Τετάρτη 17 Ιουνίου 2026, στις 19:30, στη Γκαλερί Γκλόρια. Την έκθεση θα προλογίσει η κ. Χριστιάνα Μεγαλέμου.
Η έκθεση συγκεντρώνει έργα από διαφορετικές περιόδους της δημιουργικής του πορείας και προσφέρει μια σπάνια ευκαιρία στο κοινό να γνωρίσει το εύρος της καλλιτεχνικής του αναζήτησης. Περιλαμβάνει χαρακτηριστικά έργα ζωγραφικής, νεκρές φύσεις, πορτρέτα, συνθέσεις μικτής τεχνικής, καθώς και δείγματα της ενασχόλησής του με τη βυζαντινή εικονογραφία και την αγιογραφία, αναδεικνύοντας τη συνεχή συνομιλία του με την ελληνική και μεσογειακή εικαστική παράδοση.
Γεννημένος στη Λευκωσία το 1959, ο Πάρις Σίβακας σπούδασε ζωγραφική στην Ανώτατη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών της Αθήνας με δασκάλους τους Δημήτρη Μυταρά, Γιάννη Μόραλη, Παναγιώτη Τέτση και Νίκο Κεσσανλή. Το έργο του χαρακτηρίζεται από αυστηρό σχέδιο, χαμηλόφωνη χρωματική κλίμακα, λεπτές τονικές διαβαθμίσεις και μια ποιητική ατμόσφαιρα που μετατρέπει τα καθημερινά αντικείμενα και τις ανθρώπινες μορφές σε φορείς μνήμης, νοσταλγίας και εσωτερικού στοχασμού.
Βαθιά επηρεασμένος από την αρχαία ελληνική τέχνη, τη βυζαντινή παράδοση και ιδιαίτερα τα πορτρέτα του Φαγιούμ, ο Σίβακας ανέπτυξε μια προσωπική εικαστική γλώσσα, όπου η εικονική αναπαράσταση συνδυάζεται με συμβολισμούς και υπαρξιακές αναφορές. Στα τελευταία χρόνια της δημιουργίας του αφιερώθηκε συστηματικά στη βυζαντινή εικονογραφία, ενώ παράλληλα πειραματίστηκε με νέα υλικά και μορφές έκφρασης.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της καλλιτεχνικής του πορείας πραγματοποίησε ατομικές εκθέσεις στην Αθήνα και τη Λευκωσία και συμμετείχε σε σημαντικές ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Κύπρο και την Ελλάδα. Έργα του βρίσκονται σε δημόσιες και ιδιωτικές συλλογές, μεταξύ των οποίων και η Κρατική Πινακοθήκη Σύγχρονης Κυπριακής Τέχνης.
