Please join us for our two-day workshop at CAARI on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th March, 2026, 'CraftCY. Materializing Past Crafting through Heritage and Practice'.
Discover Cyprus and its cheese-making, pottery, stone working and textiles, through the dialogue between the island’s archaeological past and Cyprus’ dynamic traditional practitioners. Day 1, Thursday 12th March, will begin with cheese (halloumi of course!), and pottery-ceramic technologies. Day 2, Friday 13th March, will look at stone-working and textiles. Each section begins with a lecture looking at the archaeological evidence for each craft, followed by a live demonstration by skilled practitioners and a vivid discussion.
This is a free event but registration is essential due to limited capacity, email
