In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, we invite you to join us for an event highlighting the strength, creativity, and voices of migrant and refugee women in Cyprus.

The event will bring together people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate and recognize the contributions of migrant and refugee women through art, culture, and dialogue. The event will feature dance and singing performances, handicrafts, and food prepared by migrant and refugee women, while also engaging in meaningful discussions with experts on gender equality and gender-based violence, with a particular focus on the lived realities of migrant and refugee women in Cyprus.

The event serves as the Final Conference of the ELEVATE HERight project, which works to prevent and combat gender-based violence in migrant communities by raising awareness, strengthening access to support services, and empowering migrant women.

The event is organized under the auspices of UNHCR Cyprus and co-organized by Generation for Change CY, the Cyprus Family Planning Association, and TapSeu Pouh.

Everyone is welcome to join us for an afternoon of culture, dialogue, and celebration of diversity.

The ELEVATE HERight project is implemented in the framework of the PREVENT program by Generation for Change CY and the Cyprus Family Planning Association. PREVENT is co-funded by the European Union, through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program, the Bodossaki Foundation, and the NGO Support Centre with a total grant amount of €2.3 million.
