Hello again, Superfans! Hot on the heels of Community Build Day #1 comes #2 of 3 Community Builds this season. If you're interested in helping out, I implore you not to wait until the 3rd build day to come help!
For anyone unfamiliar with our Community Build Days, this is your opportunity to be a part of this year's show by assisting in assembly of the physical parts out in the yard. It's a lot of fun, and a good learning experience if you want to see what goes into creating a show like this. You'll meet a lot of great people and get the inside track on what's going into Season 18. I might even be asking people to become character voices for our opening story, so don't miss your opportunity! We call people who come out to help us "Geek Lights Insiders" and we take great care of you. We'll feed you while you're here and keep you well hydrated. We'll provide all the know-how and materials. And, best of all, when you come back to watch the show with your family and friends, you can proudly point to the portions that you worked on and say, "I did that!"
Interested? Then join us and help to set-up what will delight and inspire thousands of visitors in the upcoming season. Please don't think you need any special skills or talents to be useful! This is assembly - not design or prop construction. All you need is a desire to contribute, and a few spare hours. You won't need to do any climbing or heavy lifting either. It's a low-key, fun time --come on out, stay as long as you like, get fed, have fun, and become a Geek Lights insider! Are you a youth who needs community service hours? We sign C/S forms! You won't find many activities where you'll have this much fun earning your hours.
So, come join our GLOTC "inner-circle" of friends. Meet The Geek and Spouse Peripheral, and people from our sponsored charity - the Junior League of the Emerald Coast. Don't forget - we provide everything - including snacks, drinks and a good lunch.
If you plan on coming, please don't just click "Like" or "Interested". Make sure the button says "Going" to let us know that you're actually planning to attend. We use these numbers as the head count for how much food we need to buy, so if you're bringing someone, send us a message and let us know. Sorry for sounding so demanding but this is the only way we can properly plan.
Questions? Ask away! We're excited to have you here!
