Join us for the Annual GWA Winter Event. This year we plan to build on scenarios with the Entente and Central Powers units in attendance as well as conduct small unit living history.
The winter event allows units to conduct activities that they may not be able to recreate during the annual Fall and Spring events. We hope to develop activities for 2027 like:
- Small group classes on military skills
- Individual presentations on WWI related topics.
- Small unit patrols
- Integrated social events with the Germans
- Play traditional games like manille, chess, etc.
- Trench maintenance
- Sewing projects
Arrival Friday Evening departure Sunday mid morning.
This is not your typical GWA event! We assure you that you will not just stand in the cold peering into no-mans land. This is an interactive event that features a lot of time for camaraderie and socialization. Things are done in moderation allowing for unique living history experiences.
The Winter event features great opportunities for immersive living history, social activities, unit projects, and combat and non-combat interaction with the Central Powers.
We are in coordination with Central Powers leaders for scenario development. There will be coordinated times for interactions and there is programmed time for unit focused living history.
The Central Powers plan on hosting a Saturday night social event so we can get to better know our “adversaries” and share some camaraderie with them as well.
