On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Newtown Historic Association will once again host Tavern Night at the historic Half-Moon Inn. The evening will feature 18th century ale, wine, delicious food catered by Joseph Garvey of Joey G’s and Joseph’s Catering, live music, dancing, sing-along, and a silent auction. Attendees will also have an opportunity to visit the History of Newtown Exhibition on the second floor of the Inn.
Singing and dancing will be colonial style. Colonial dress is optional for those feeling patriotic!
Bar drinks served and exhibition tour: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Dinner: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Dancing: 8:00 – 9:00 PM
Sing-along in the Tavern Room: 9:00 – 11:00 PM
All proceeds from Tavern Night benefit the Newtown Historic Association and support its various projects. Reservations are $76.00 per person for members and $93.00 per person for non-members.
