🌿Join artist Kat Evans at NoCo Arts in Newton for this creative workshop where participants will learn how to create both traditional and wet cyanotype prints using the amazing power of the sun! ☀️
This alternative photographic process was developed in the mid-1800s by British scientist, Sir John Herschel, who discovered that when using a combination of iron salts and water on a substrate, when exposed to sunlight, it would cause a chemical reaction resulting in the exposed areas turning blue. Needless to say, this is art meets science. ✨
Utilizing both dried and fresh flora to create prints, participants are also encouraged to bring in items that they would like to create imagery with as well.
Each participant will create several framable art prints on a variety of substrates, including a canvas tote bag.
