Harvey County RSVP will hold its annual 9/11 Service Project on Saturday, Sept. 13.
 
RSVP volunteers will welcome shoppers at the two Dillons locations in Newton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as they collect donations to contribute to The Salvation Army. Shoppers can purchase items while inside the grocery store, then hand them to volunteers stationed in the entryway.

This is the 10th annual 9/11 Service Project for the local RSVP.
“Ten years is a major milestone for us,” said Harvey County RSVP Coordinator Mary Wilson. “We’ve been able to sustain and grow this project over that time. I’m thankful for all the volunteers who contributed over the years.”

RSVP is a group of volunteers 55 and older dedicated to giving back to their communities through their various experiences and expertise. 
Harvey County RSVP is part of the nationwide AmeriCorps Seniors program.
