- **Event Description**: The Foothills Antique Power Association of North Carolina is a non-profit organization dedicated to “Preserving the Past for the Future.” Our mission is carried out through the collection, restoration, and demonstration of antique farm machinery, as well as antique automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, chainsaws, stationary engines, and many other types of equipment — whether hand-powered or horse-powered.

Our members work diligently to preserve these important pieces of history by restoring them and demonstrating how they were used in the past, allowing future generations to experience and appreciate them.

Each year we host our Annual Antique Power Show during the third weekend in May at the Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds in Newton, North Carolina. This event serves as our primary venue for displaying and demonstrating antique equipment.

The show features much more than tractors. Activities include:

-Carolina Garden Tractor Pull – Friday at 6:00 PM
-Opening Ceremonies- Saturday at 9:00 AM
-Children's Pedal Tractor Pull – Saturday at 10:00 AM
-Parade Of Power- Saturday at 1:00 PM
-Antique Tractor Pull – Saturday at 2:00 PM
-Tractor Rodeo- Saturday at 3:00 PM

Visitors can also enjoy demonstrations throughout the day featuring equipment such as threshers, steam engines, shingle mills, Saw Mill, grist mills, blacksmithing, and many other historic machines.

There will be plenty of great food available all weekend, however no alcohol is permitted on the grounds.
