Join us for the first in a season of screenings by local film maker Tom Marchant as we look at the golden age of cinema in Scotland with ‘Nights at the Pictures’. The film covers the period when cinema attendances were still at their peak in the 1950s and 60s and looks at the changes in cinema throughout the years. The evening will also include another short film looking at The Toledo cinema in nearby Muirend.

In association with Eastwood Theatre, East Renfrewshire Heritage Service is showing this film as part of a season of screenings by local filmmaker Tom Marchant. Tom has been making local history films for a number of years in partnership with local organisations and historians. He has amassed a considerable body of work, and we are delighted to be showcasing these films in our brand-new cinema room at Eastwood House.

This screening takes place in our brand-new cinema room within Eastwood House and is located on the ground floor. The room features comfortable seating, with a maximum capacity of 25 audience members.
