With a screenplay by Kazuo Ishiguro, and starring Bill Nighy, Aimee Lou Wood, and Tom Burke, this apparently slight story about a hidebound civil servant has a satirical sting in its tail. Nighy receives a shock diagnosis of terminal cancer. Can he break free and finally do something with his life? Or is it too late?
