- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 20 Jun, 2026 at 07:30 pm
- **Event Description**: You might have been captivated by Miller's cover of The Masterplan in the latest series of Traitors UK (which saw the song Shazammed 2750 times in one week) or perhaps discovered her viral version of Nothing Compares 2 U or Wild Mountain Thyme which have a collective view count of over half a million views, but undoubtedly it’s her own beautifully crafted and confessional songwriting that will make you stick around for more.

Long touted for her spellbinding voice and poignant lyricism, Emma’s music is relational, real and deeply layered. Originally from just above the Highlands in north east Scotland, there’s a subtle Celtic inflection in her tone and delivery that only adds to the depth of her songwriting. Her first songs were honed behind her childhood piano at just 12 years old, with her teenage years drawing her towards artists ranging from Imogen Heap and Norah Jones, to discovering voices like Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell. Moving to London in her mid 20s she threw herself into the music scene there, graduating with a first class degree in Songwriting and developing an honesty and vulnerability to her writing and command of her voice that stands alone. Uniquely powerful melodies and a voice that delivers it all in honeyed, soulful tones have led to praise from the likes of cult magazine CLASH - noting “her folk-hewn work has blossomed into something remarkable” and BBC 6 Music's Tom Robinson proclaiming her vocals as “rich as a Belgian truffle”.

Her latest album took her 4000 miles from Edinburgh to the rural Tennessee countryside where she spent three weeks working with producer Nick Bullock at Freda Recordings. Cut off from Wifi or phone service, Miller embraced the experience whole heartedly - working with some of Nashville’s finest musicians, a string quartet and giving some of her most vulnerable performances all captured behind the baby grand piano. The result is a mature and deeply personal body of work realised in I Want to Be the Anchor.

The record has received support across BBC Radio, critical acclaim in industry music blogs and sold out shows as Miller begins her UK wide tour this summer.
