Barolo Masterclass

We’re pleased to welcome Marcell Kustos - former sommelier and Managing Partner of David Ridge Wines, Australia’s leading specialist in the great wines of Piedmont. Marcell will guide you through Nebbiolo, Italy’s most revered (and misunderstood) grape, explored through the lens of Barolo. Expect a deep dive into place: soils, exposures, vintages, and why these hills continue to set the global benchmark for serious red wine. The tasting will focus on small, family-run, traditional estates, with wines drawn from some of Barolo’s most important crus. Marcell will weave in history, current farming practices, and first-hand stories from years spent working alongside the growers. This is Nebbiolo as it’s meant to be understood: regional, nuanced, and very much alive.
