Slieve Gullion

Slieve Gullion is always a lovely hike 😁 In this occasion we will be starting from Killeavey Castle and making ourcway up to the top carpark before heading on up to the summit to the Cailleach Beara's house and lake. On a clear day the views from here are wonderful with the Cooley Mountains and the Mournes in the distance. After a break here, we will make our way down on the other side of the hill until we rejoin the trail back to our starting point.
This is a looped route with steep uneven mountain terrain and steps so it does require a decent level of fitness and proper clothing and footwear are essential. No jeans or runners please.

Duration: 4-5 hours approx
Difficulty: Decent fitness and stamina required
