Artist Demo - Carla Jennings

"Beauty is in the silent details" - that's the first thing that I read on Carla's website. A mixed media abstract art she has a freedom of expression in her beautiful pieces inspired by nature. She enjoyes the tiny details; a single leaf or flower, which brings a sense of silness and peace where she can take the time to indulgence in the intricate beauty.

"Join me as I demonstrate my playful process of creating an expressive botanical painting by building exciting layers. I’ll be using ink & acrylic to create lots of ‘messy’ transparent layers, thoroughly embracing happy accidents to create history in the painting. I’ll show you how I bring light & energy to the abstract botanical shape, how I introduce patterned elements & how contrast is important as I refine the piece with different mediums"
