Join our event volunteer team at Newport Marathon.About this EventNo special skills are needed to volunteer at a Run 4 Wales event - you just need lots of enthusiasm! You can volunteer as an individual, with friends or family, or as a group.There are a whole range of different roles available on race day, with something to suit everyone including:Give out bottled water at the water stations, located every 5km around the routeSupport the Runners Bag Drop area on Usk Way and chat to runners pre and post-raceBe a Course Marshal along the route, directing and cheering on runnersHelp at the start and finish line on Usk Way, cheering on runners and handing out medals and t-shirts to the finishersAll volunteers receive an exclusive event t-shirt and bag, lunch and refreshments, Tempo Time Credits (a fantastic national reward scheme for volunteers) and on the day support from a supervisor. You'll meet lots of great people - some of our volunteers have been with us for 10 years!Volunteering is a great way to have fun, make friends, enhance your CV and experience the electric atmosphere of race day. So if you want to have a great day out and find out what mass running races are all about, then why not volunteer?!PLEASE NOTE: The minimum age for volunteering is 14. We have previously been supported by the police cadets and scouts as well as social running groups, faith groups and many more.We also offer corporate volunteering days. If your business has corporate social responsibility goals or would like to enjoy a team building day out of the office, please get in touch.We are also looking for race day volunteers for other events during our 2026 events calendar, including Bath Half Marathon on 15 March, Barry Island 10K on 17 May, Porthcawl 10K on 5 July, Cardiff 10K on 6 September, Cardiff Half Marathon Junior on 3 October and Cardiff Half Marathon on 4 October.
