Carmela Geer is the Executive Director of the Edward King House Senior Center in Newport, Rhode Island, where she leads with a deep commitment to enriching the lives of older adults through engagement, education, and community connection. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, and advocacy, Carmela has been instrumental in expanding the Center’s reach and impact across Newport County. Her leadership has positioned the Edward King House as a vital hub for lifelong learning, wellness, and cultural enrichment. A passionate community builder, she continues to champion inclusion, collaboration, and dignity for all who call the Center home.
