ST-OC will be attending the Isle of Wight Takeover on 17th May 2026, one of the most distinctive automotive events in the UK calendar.
The Isle of Wight Takeover is a large-scale modified and performance car event held across multiple locations on the island, rather than a single static venue. The event combines organised show areas with scenic island driving, creating a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere that sets it apart from traditional car shows.
Enthusiasts from across the UK come together to display their cars, explore the island, and enjoy a full day centred around car culture in a unique setting. With its varied locations and strong club presence, the event offers something genuinely different from mainland shows.
Last year, widespread traffic management issues at the event resulted in extremely long queues, with many clubs — including ST-OC — unable to reach the show area. A significant number of attendees were forced to turn back after several hours in traffic, meaning they were unable to take part on the day. We’re hopeful that lessons have been learned and that the 2026 event will run far more smoothly, allowing clubs to attend and enjoy the show as intended.
