Theme: Spring Renewal: Honoring fresh starts, natural beauty, and the energy of a new season.
Students can create any all-audience-appropriate art they would like, but will earn extra points for aligning with our 2026 theme of Spring Renewal.
Event Location: Sadie Halstead Middle School, Newport, WA
Eligibility: Open to all Pre-K through 12th grade students in Pend Oreille County and surrounding areas (including homeschool)
Artwork Drop-Off: Friday, MAY 15th, 2026 — 3:30 PM at Sadie Halstead Middle School
Artwork Pick-Up: Saturday, MAY 16th, 2026 — between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM
Public Viewing Hours: MAY 16th , 2026 from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Labeling: Please clearly label artwork with the student’s name & grade
Ready to Display: Frames, stands, or hangers are welcome if needed for presentation (These are not provided by Pend Oreille Events)
Safety: No hazardous materials, liquids, food-based art, or knives/weapon components. All projects are to be school and age appropriate. Students must get approval from POE before starting their ART PROJECT.
Fragile Work: We will handle with care, but POE cannot insure or guarantee against damage. POE and NSD do not assume responsibility for any items left behind.
Photography: Photos of the display may be taken for community sharing.
Parent Support: Younger students may have a parent or teacher assist with submission. This is a home-led project.
