Each session will include instruction and demo, with time to practice and receive feedback from the trainers and assistants. 

Meet the trainers!

Tessa Anderson has been training dogs for 37 years and is a Cyanopraxic/LIMA certified trainer with a focus on BMOD for The Canine Coach and a K9 Handler for Dogs For Defense. 

Anna Brand is a graduate of Starmark Academy and  has been a professional dog trainer for 7 years. She owns Dog Training Transformations in the north metro. 

Jamie Halverson has 10 years experience and currently teaches puppy kindergarten and provides behavioral consultations at AllBreed Obedience in Woodbury, as well as private in home training sessions. 

Steph Paxton is a trainer with the Canine Coach providing in home training. 

The building will open at 5:00 please plan to arrive between 5:00 and 5:30. We will start the workshop at 5:30. 

Open to all skill levels and breeds! GRC is a “reactive” dog friendly organization, and reactive dogs are welcome to all trainings. We’ll talk about any specific needs dogs have before we start, and remember to advocate for your dog! 

If you need to crate your dog in the building, or your dog requires more space or only dog time for training, please let us know ahead of time and try to arrive before 5:30

Potluck! The club will provide a main dish and drinks, feel free to bring a side or sweet treat to share. 

Should go without saying, but do not let dogs meet, and assume all dogs are no touch unless the owner says otherwise. Dogs must be on a 6’ leash unless working, while working dogs must be on a long line.

Dogs will be kept separate while participating in drive activities

We request a $15 donation PER PERSON, not per dog (cash or Venmo, paid the night of) to participate in training events.

*Foster dogs attend free, reach out if you think your adoptable foster dog is a good fit
