Who should attend? Anyone living with diabetes. You do not need to be a Newport Health Center patient to join us.
What is the cost? There is no charge. This Diabetes Support Group is completely free, no strings attached.
What happens at group? Each Diabetes Support Group session focuses on a different diabetes-related topic. The purpose of our time together is to learn, share experiences, and support one another.
Where is the group held? Each session is held in the Newport Health Center classroom. The Newport Health Center is located at the intersection of Spruce Street and Cass Avenue — the northwest corner of the Newport Hospital & Health Services campus.
When are sessions? The Diabetes Support Group is held at 3 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month.
Who leads the sessions? Each session is facilitated by Denise Rowsey, a registered nurse and certified diabetes care and education specialist.
