Get ready for a magical night in downtown Newport!

? 4:00 PM – Santa Arrives!
Watch Santa make his grand entrance by helicopter on the Newport Common before hopping on a fire truck and heading to the Newport Opera House!

? Passport to Santa
Kids can pick up their FREE Passport to Santa outside the Opera House, visit participating businesses for stamps & goodies, then head to the back entrance for a FREE photo with Santa inside the Opera House!

? 4:30 PM – Dance Arts Academy
Dancers will be performing right in front of the Opera House!

? 5:00 PM – Parade of Lights
A dazzling southbound parade down Main Street!

? 5:00–7:00 PM – Horse & Wagon Rides
Enjoy complimentary rides through our Hallmark-movie Main Street.

? Marshmallow Roasting Bonfire
The Newport Fire Department will be hosting a festive marshmallow-roasting bonfire—warm up and enjoy a sweet treat!

? Face Painting
Holiday-themed face painting for kids (and kids at heart)!

?️ 4:00–6:30 PM – Newport Recreation’s Chili Walk starting at 31 Main Street. 27 chili makers! $10 adults, $5 kids. Proceeds benefit the Willey Perra Christmas Program & the Newport Food Pantry.

? Festival of Trees on the Common-vote for your favorite!
