Fast Eddie's 3rd Annual "Get It Poppin" at Peninsula Billiards 🎱 ball shootout!

What's Poppin good people, you are invited to the 3rd annual Get It Poppin 8 ball shootout, we will play on 22 Diamond tables at Peninsula Billiards 10820 Warwick Blvd, Newport News Virginia, December 6th 2025. Doors will open at 9am for practice, we will do registration untill 1030am, we will have a player meeting at 1045am, we will do the Calcutta directly after the player meeting and the tournament will start after the Calcutta is completed.

*Yes pocket Safeties are ok!

*No 3 foul rule

* If you scratch while shooting on the 8 ball it is not a loss, ball in hand to your opponent. If you scratch and make the 8 ball at the same time that is a loss. If you pocket the 8 ball in the wrong pocket, it is a loss.

* Yes Jump Que's are allowed for legal jumps from the top, no scooping, scooping will result in a foul and ball in hand to your opponent.

*Table is open after the break, if you pocket a ball on the break, solids or stripes will be determined by the 1st ball that is called and made, if nothing is made on the break then the opponent must call ball and pocket to establish solid or stripes.

*In this event you may not use the 8 ball to combo to establish your balls, that will be considered a foul and ball in hand to your opponent.
Yes you may use opposing balls stripe to solid or solid to stripe when the table is open to establish your set of balls.

*please familiarize yourself with BCA rules as I will not list every rule in this invite, but questions will be answered at the player meeting, so please have your questions ready at the player meeting, or please feel free to ask about any rules or any other questions you may have in the discussion portion of this event post.

*This will be a split bracket event that will not combine at any time. It will be a Double elimination event.

*Fargo 499 & Under - $100.00 entry fee
Race to 4 on the A side
Race to 3 on the B side
No Handicaps, straight up Race.

*Fargo 500 and up NO CAP. $120.00 entry fee.
Race to 5 on the A side
Race to 4 on the B side
No Handicaps, Straight up Race

*FINALS on both sides will be true double elimination, races will not change for finals.

*Although races could be subject to change due to participation, if participation is low we will increase races if it is feasable for time permitted at the facility. As it stands races will not be lowered, outside of any unforseen circumstances like 150 people sign up, we still gonna run a tournament but I may have to take 1 game away from both sides of both brackets, I hope and pray to have that problem, but I have never seen it happen. LOL, lighten up folks its not that serious yet!

*Fargo 499 and under, if you do not have an established Fargo with 200 robustness, or you do not have a Fargo rating at all, and you have a valid up to date APA ranking you may use this chart,

Skill level-2 will play as Fargo 275
Skill level-3 will play as Fargo 325
Skill level-4 will play as Fargo 375
Skill level-5 will play as Fargo 424
Skill level-6 will play as Fargo 475
this is end of 499 and under crossover

*Fargo 500 and up, NO CAP, if you do not have a Fargo and you have a valid up to date APA ranking, you may use this chart.

Skill level - 7 will play as Fargo 525

*All players with no Fargo, No known directors to vet you, including myself and the other respected directors in the area or in different areas that I have a relationship with to vet you, you will play in the 500 and up NO CAP side as a 550 Fargo.
I know you are going to ask why does it matter, well its the Calcutta for the 500 and up side, players need to know about who they will bid on, players will be veted for the most part as there are not many that are not known, but this bracket is special for sure, it will hold your best players from miles around so I welcome the sharks and the basement sharpshooters that never come outside, this is your 500 and up open baby, some will to put it on the line, and some won't.

*499 and under, No cushion you will play as what you are that day.

*Please add your name and Fargo or APA rank to the discussion portion of the event post to sign up, as we want to have this kind of thing done by tournament day to make data entry go faster, as we will use digital pool for this event, and it allows us to get started early on the vetting process.
