Surf Saturday Film Fest

Kick Off Summer with the SURF SATURDAY FILM FEST on June 7th featuring two documentaries by NHHS Alumni - "The Wedge: Dynasty, Tragedy, Legacy" & "Living It Forever" - followed by a Q&A discussion with Bob Rogers Class of 1968 & Rick Chatillon Class of 1970!

Join us for a fun-filled evening of Newport Beach surfing history. Begin under the tower at 4:30pm to catch up with old friends while enjoying live music and food you can buy to take care of dinner. The films will begin inside the theater at 6:00pm and will wrap up with a lively discussion about the legendary surf spot we call home.

Any proceeds from Surf Saturday will support our Scholarship program. Because of the generosity of alumni like you, we have awarded over $160,000 to help the career dreams of deserving students come true. This June, we will recognize another Class of amazing students, and we will offer our 2024 winners a second year of support. So if you have $5, $50, or $500 to contribute to the next generation of Sailors, we’d be most appreciative.


Get a chance to see these films on a big screen for the first time in years, as you learn more about the history of Newport Beach and reconnect with fellow Sailors. You will not want to miss the best way to kick off summer!
