Naturalist Night: Road for Climate Action

An evening with Shahir Masri, Sc.D. who will discuss the impacts of climate change on native landscapes of California, as well as ecosystems around the world. He will also share is upcoming project "On the Road for Climate Action," and explain why he has decided to pause his research career this year to advocate for climate action around the country.

Dr. Masri is an assistant specialist in air pollution exposure assessment and epidemiology at UCI, and also teaches at the Schmid College of Science and Technology at Chapman University. He earned his Phd and MS from the Department of Environmental Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He also holds a BS in Environmental Science from UCLA. Dr. Masri has written extensively on climate change for The Hill, Thrive Global, and other news sites, as well as published several peer-reviewed studies on air pollution. 
Free parking/admissing. This event is open to the public and our partners; any current volunteers or aspiring naturalists are welcome. Doors open at 6:30; presentation begins at 7.
