📜 ABOUT THE PLAY
Richard III is one of Shakespeare’s most captivating villains. The story follows Richard of Gloucester, a jealous younger brother determined to seize the Crown of England for himself. Through manipulation, deceit, and murder, he eliminates rivals, including his own brothers, to become King. His tyrannical reign is short-lived. In the final, climactic battle, Richard is confronted by the ghosts of his victims and ultimately defeated by Henry Tudor, the Earl of Richmond, bringing the Wars of the Roses to a bloody close and ushering in the reign of Henry VII. This production will be a 2-hour version featuring 12 actors playing multiple roles in a non-traditional, minimalist setting.
