LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the successful completion of this course, the candidate should be able to;
- Recognise the anatomy of the ear
- Recognise common pathology of the ear, external and middle ear
- Assess the risks and benefits of wax removal and understand the various methods available
- Safely perform an ear irrigation
- Communicate to a patient the details of the procedure and explain the risks involved
- Document the details of any procedure in the patient record comprehensively
