Fellow author and podcaster Lisa Ireland will be joining Tess for this special in-conversation event, as they discuss her childhood in Egypt and her family’s migration to Australia. This is a wonderful chance to delve into the personal stories behind the novel, the themes of family and displacement, and the real world histories that shaped the book.

MacLean’s Booksellers will be selling copies of The Cairo Bridal Shop following the event and Tess will be available for signing.

Tess Woods is an award-winning Australian Top 10 bestselling author of contemporary fiction. Her novel The Venice Hotel was an instant Australian Top 10 best seller and was shortlisted for the ABIA General Fiction Book of the Year. She lives in Western Australia with her husband and two children.
