- **Event Description**: Showcasing national and regional best practice – How to deliver and implement physical health support services for people living with SMIAbout this EventThis free half-day event will bring together national and regional health system leaders, researchers, policy-makers, people with lived experience of SMI and the public for a range of interactive sessions to:Hear about and share best evidence-based practice examples of service deliveryShowcase findings about how to drive implementation tailored within existing resourcesLaunch and share resources for supporting service growth and prevention, andCreate a national community of practice to support ongoing development.All delegates will receive:Hard copy and electronic access to a best practice compendium for you and your colleaguesThe opportunity to showcase local or regional initiatives and share learningThe opportunity to network with nationally-based colleaguesSupport with implementation planning in your region/areaOngoing free membership of the community of practice promoting and leading physical health support services for those living with SMIThe event will include interactive sessions and small group discussions where ideas can be exchanged surrounding how recommendations could be implementedWho should attend:Key decisions makers, leaders and providers within the NHS, healthcare systems and the community/voluntary sector are strongly encouraged to attend.We are able to provide a limited number of bursaries to support members of the public or delegates from the community or voluntary sectors to attend; please do contact us for further information and/or to let us know about any accessibility requirements you may have – fiona.duncan@newcastle.ac.ukResearch Team:We are researchers funded through NIHR based at Newcastle University and UCL.
