Love Up the Place: A Gathering of Joy and Solidarity

Dear friends

We warmly invite you to a special evening of art, food and live music by The Crossings Band.

This is a chance to share in joy and come together in solidarity, hoping it will offer a chance to relax, enjoy food, dance to excellent tunes and share in creativity.

We hope you can join us.

Event cost: free
Travel: For guests seeking sanctuary, we can support with travel costs on the day of up to £7.00. Please see the team at the welcome desk on arrival with your receipt or travel ticket.

The event is free and we invite you to join us for food and refreshments. There is also a paid bar available.

Timings

5.30pm: Doors open
6.00pm: Creative sharing and presentations
6.45pm: Delicious vegetarian food served
7:30pm: The Crossings Band live set
8.30pm: Event ends

Everyone is welcome and the event is free but please RSVP here on Eventbrite. This helps us keep track of numbers.

Accessibility: The Star and Shadow has ramp access to most spaces including the performance venue and toilets. There is also a changing places toilet. Find out more here.

Travel: The Star and Shadow Cinema is located on Warwick Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1BB, (map).

The nearest Metro stations are Manors and Jesmond, which are both about a ten minute walk. Bus number 1 stops directly outside the building. And numbers 15 and 15a also pass close by. If you arrive by bike you can safely park and lock it inside the building. There is free parking for visitors with disabilities in the car park.
