- **Event Description**: Please join us at our Light up a Life Celebration Event, a time to come together during a busy time of year and celebrate and be thankful for people who you love but who have sadly died.

Light up a Life is a special remembrance service, hosted by St Oswald's Hospice Spiritual Care Lead, Davina Radford. Everyone is welcome to join in, whether or not you have a connection to St Oswald's Hospice.

There will be a mix of music, song, refection and readings and the service will culminate in the switching on of the Tree of Lights, each one sparkling in memory of someone special.
Light up a Life is an inclusive event, suitable for the whole family.

Refreshments will be served prior to the service and a selection of gifts and mementoes will be available to purchase Doors open at 6.00pm and the service will start at 7pm. We expect it to last for around one hour.

You can also choose to dedicate a light on the Tree of Lights in memory of a loved one by making a donation to St Oswald's Hospice. You will then receive a card bearing their name and a star to hang on your tree at home. Visit https://www.stoswaldsuk.org/light-up-a-life/ to make your dedication.

PLEASE NOTE:

This year, we have introduced a small charge for adult tickets at £5 per person plus an Eventbrite booking fee, with under 18s free. This change helps us continue hosting this special event while responding to the financial pressures currently facing St Oswald’s Hospice. We hope you understand that this decision was made with care and consideration, and is essential to ensure Light up a Life can continue to support our community and raise vital funds for patient care. Tickets must be booked in advance for all members of your party due to capacity of the venue. Please book only amount of tickets you need and let us know of you no longer need them, so we can make them available to others.

If you prefer to join in from home, we will be live-streaming the service on our website.
