The Race and Migration IDRT will engage with cross-disciplinary scholars, practitioners, individuals and community activists from across the North East and beyond, with guest speakers sharing pioneering and impactful work.The Launch will draw attention to the challenges experienced by racialised and migrant communities – those who continue to be othered in UK society, particularly in the wake of the 2024 riots and the ongoing rise of the far-right.
