Using images from Kate’s own collection we will follow her journey from her Sunderland childhood through her career as a reporter then as the first female Chief News Correspondent of the BBC, reporting from some of the key events and places of the second half of the twentieth century.Rachel Webb is the Library Archivist in Special Collection at the University of Sunderland Library.
