Working alongside Dr Michael Richardson, a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography at Newcastle University and Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, they are part of a National Lottery Climate Action Fund project: Birds, Bees, Bike and Trees. NEYDL's beekeeping started on the banks of the River Team, a tributary to the River Tyne, and the product of this work lead to the creation of Staiths Honey. This honey-tasting event will give you the chance to sample Staiths Honey as well as some more rural honey from across the North East.
