Ages 16–24.About this EventGlow with the Flow is an immersive, creative evening for 16–24‑year‑olds, exploring the hidden wonders of the North East coastline and how to protect it. Across three short workshops. Discover how kelp supports marine life, protects our coasts from erosion and benefits us all, whilst exploring how we humans are impacting this vital habitat. Learn how microalgae are shaping sustainable solutions, and explore the impacts of plastic pollution alongside practical actions we can take locally.The night ends with a Beach Glow Finale, where you’ll create UV‑lit climate messages using plastics impacting our shores. These glowing messages will be photographed and shared on social media which will aim to raise awareness of coastal challenges.Come along to meet like‑minded young people, build your coastal conservation knowledge, get hands‑on and creative, enjoy free refreshments, and connect with environmental researchers and organisations. Part of this workshop will be outdoors on the beach - please dress in layers, warm waterproof coat and suitable footwear. If you have a headlight or torch please feel free to bring it along.
