INVITATION to Mapping the River 2025💦 🦆 👫 🍂

Mapping the River is an exhibition in celebration of the work of the communities. Those who contributed their creativity and communicated their concerns and ambitions to restore and protect the river for nature and the wellbeing of future generations.

Inspired by and responding to the famous Idris Mathias’ fine manuscript map, Mapping the river will showcase a contemporary folk map of the lower Teifi. These two maps will be shown together, providing a unique opportunity to reflect on the natural and cultural heritage, what has changed and what’s stayed the same.

Mae Mapio’r Afon yn arddangosfa sy’n dathlu gwaith y cymunedau sydd wedi cyfrannu eu creadigrwydd a mynegi eu pryderon a’u huchelgais i adfer a gwarchod yr afon ar gyfer byd Natur a lles cenedlaethau’r dyfodol.

Wedi’i ysbrydoli gan fap llawysgrif enwog a gwych Idris Mathias ac sy’n ymateb iddo, bydd Mapio’r Afon 2025 yn arddangos map gwerin cyfoes o ran isaf afon Teifi. Dangosir y ddau fap ochr yn ochr â’i gilydd - gan gynnig cyfle unigryw i fyfyrio ar y dreftadaeth naturiol a diwylliannol, beth sydd wedi newid a’r hyn sy’n aros yr un peth.

Rydym ni’n ymuno â’r digwyddiadau hyn i arddangos map cyfoes newydd o afon Teifi. 💦 🦆 👫 🍂
