CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY WITH MUSIC AND THE OPENING OF 3 NEW EXHIBITIONS BY FEMALE ARTISTS AT CANFAS GALLERY IN CARDIGAN

Oriel Canfas Gallery continues its exciting series of shows with 3 vibrant solo exhibitions through March to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD). As part of the IWD campaign for 2026  ‘Give to Gain’ Canfas is collaborating with gallery TEN Cardiff, to host ‘LIFE LINES’ a major exhibition of paintings by Annie Morgan- Suganami being held in the main space of the gallery. In the upstairs galleries we present Lola Rose Chapman’s ‘Essence of Place’ a solo show of new abstract landscapes inspired by West Wales, and we introduce artist Dottie-may Aston whose exhibition ‘Excuse Me?’ weaves self portraiture with contemporary life and old whimsical tales.

Annie Morgan Suganami sings with Sue Jones-Davies at 2pm. Raising money for Enfys Aberystwyth, a specialist resource base for autistic children at Ysgol Llwyn Yr Eos.

Many remember Sue as the character Judith Iscariot in Monty Python's 1979 Life of Brian. The town of Aberystwyth banned the film on its release until Sue was elected mayor there in 2008. Sue will be singing a cappella with long time friend Annie raising money for Enfys Aberystwyth.
