- **Event Description**: Back to Newbury Methodist Church Hall in April. Our skilled volunteers will do their best to repair your items. This helps reduce waste and prolong the life of things so you don't need to spend money to replace them. Enjoy a cuppa while you wait. Repairs are free, but donations are welcome to help fund our future events and pay for necessary supplies and volunteer training.

As usual, we will be offering repairs of:
~Electrical and electronic items
~Clothing and textiles
~Small items of furniture and wooden objects
~Other general household and garden items

*For all electricals and electronics: Please ensure that you bring any batteries, chargers, ancillary leads, power supplies, speakers, etc. to enable us to fully test the faulty item. For safety reasons, all mains-powered electrical items 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 be PAT tested before any repair can take place, and again afterwards, even if the item has not been fixed.*

Also available:
~Secateur, knife, and scissor sharpening (a limit of 2 large or 3 small items, please)
~Mobile phone and IT advice/troubleshooting

Last items for repair must be checked in 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 the hall 30 minutes before the end of the event (i.e., 4 p.m.). Items should be clean and small/light enough for one person to carry. You may bring more than one item, but you will only be able to check-in one of the items initially. Depending on demand, y𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘂𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀.  Sorry, we cannot repair microwaves, petrol-driven items, or gas appliances for safety reasons. Even if something can’t be repaired on the spot, we may be able to advise on parts to buy, or how to repair at home.

Photos can sometimes help. Have a look at the photo albums from our previous events to see the wide variety of items we have repaired so far. 

Since our launch in February 2024, we have saved over 1400 items (3000 kg) from waste processing! Thank you for helping us to achieve this.
