Kennet Opera celebrates the centenary of the birth of American composer Carlisle Floyd. We present a rare chance to see his opera 'Susannah'. Based on the tale of Susanna and the Elders, set in 1950s rural Tennessee, it is the story of a woman accused of immorality by her neighbours – god-fearing and vengeful.
With a dramatic plot, reflecting the atmosphere of its time, and packed with stunning music, this is not to be missed.
