# Event Details - **Event Name**: WHY WE VOTE: An Installation of Signs - Sunday, Oct.11, 1-5 PM - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 11 Oct, 2026 at 01:00 pm – Sun, 11 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm - **Event Description**: IAC Window Activation @ 73 Market Street by Patricia Dahlman and Michael Dal Cerro WHY WE VOTE: An Installation of Signs (This is an outdoor gathering) The Trump administration is trying to discourage and restrict people from voting. Our Democracy depends on people exercising their right to vote. In our Democracy elections are how Americans settle our disagreements and determine the direction of our country. The solution to attempts at voter suppression is for more people to get out and vote! In our exhibit we hope to encourage and remind people of the significance and value of their vote. The signs have been collected from an open call that declare, Why We Vote. The signs are both handmade and digital works and were collected from the Newark community as well as other communities across the United States.
