About The Black School
The Black School is an NYC-based experimental art school that uses black history to educate black students, students of color, and allies, on how to become radical agents of change through workshops in public art that address students’ community needs. Co-administered by artists and educators Joseph Cuillier and Shani Peters, TBS is mobile in structure, currently traveling its programming to partnering schools and organizations. TBS also organizes Black Love Fest NY, an annual art and music festival.
All activities are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Light refreshments are also provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
