Event Schedule
• 5:00–5:30 p.m. – Chili check-in and setup
• 5:30–6:30 p.m. – Tasting and judging
• 6:30–7:00 p.m. – Votes counted and winner announced

Bring your appetite—and your secret chili recipe—for a new favorite Buckeye tradition!

Join the Ohio State Alumni Club of Licking County for an evening of delicious chili, friendly competition, and Buckeye camaraderie as alumni, students, faculty, staff, families, and friends gather for our Chili Cook-Off.

Think your chili deserves a championship? Enter your favorite recipe and compete for the title of Best Chili, a championship trophy, and, of course, Buckeye bragging rights! More than 300 Ohio State Newark students will serve as the official judges, making this a fun and unique competition you won't find anywhere else.

Not entering a chili? Come anyway! Sample a variety of homemade chilis, enjoy cornbread and cookies, and spend the evening connecting with fellow Buckeyes while supporting local student scholarships.

There is no cost to participate or attend. In lieu of an entry fee, we'll gladly accept:

• Cash donations at the door to help offset event expenses, or
• A non-perishable food item to benefit the Ohio State Newark Food Pantry.

If you're entering a chili:
• Please bring one crockpot or slow cooker of your chili, hot and ready to serve.
• Cooking your chili throughout the day and bringing it in a slow cooker is recommended.
• Electrical outlets will be available, and you're welcome to bring an extension cord if needed.

Advance registration is requested so we can plan for food and seating. Please register no later than Wednesday, September 2.
