The 37th annual interfaith Thanksgiving service presented by Newark Interfaith Leaders.
The service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 7:00 p.m. at Temple Beth El, 301 Possum Park Rd., Newark, DE.
The service will feature reflections from representatives of diverse faith traditions, music, and readings. An offering will be collected for the benefit of Friendship House of Delaware, which in June announced a new strategic partnership with Limen Recovery & Wellness.
This year’s service has a theme of “Courage to Care, Grace to Be Grateful,” a reference to our desire to be people who show care and empathy in a time of self-interest and dehumanization.
Singers are invited to join a combined choir which will rehearse at 6:00 p.m. before the service.
A reception will follow. Please do not bring any food items with you as Temple Beth El maintains a kosher kitchen, but you are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank.
A virtual option for the service is available at this Zoom link: zoom.us/j/100614900
