Lerner Teaching & Research Showcase Spring 2019
Please join us for the Lerner Faculty Teaching and Research Showcase on Friday, April 26, 2019 at One South Main Street. Lerner faculty will share teaching and pedagogy and will present research and research in progress. The goal of the showcase is to share ideas, support colleagues and build a stronger sense of community around two major areas of faculty work: research and teaching.
We will be celebrating the 2018 Outstanding Scholars who have published in top-tier journals in their field Session on learning to promote your research and obtaining funding will be discussed as well as highlighting and teaching showcases from your colleagues.
Research is a series of 15 minute presentations that focus on several recent research by faculty who have published in our top journals. The goal is for faculty to share their scholarly work, learn from each other and develop synergies among colleagues. This is a great way to have others learn about your research!
Teaching is a stand up 45 minute presentation/workshop. The purpose of this session is for faculty to share practical lessons, teaching modules or pedagogies that can be shared with others. This session could include best practices, new ideas, handouts and examples of lessons that other faculty may use in their classroom. These sessions are designed for us to learn from each other so that we all continue to improve our teaching.
