Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Let's celebrate Valentine's Day! With over a thousand songs that mention love, and just as many books, poems and movies that focus on love, you might think there are many experts on the subject. Yet, love can be elusive, mysterious, unexpected, and completely resilient.
Of all the forms of love which Greek philosophers described, there remains one form of love that can only be described by an image. This is the love in Unitarian Universalism, described by a picture of a chalice of love surrounded by words like generosity, pluralism, interdependence, and transformation. This is a love that is bigger than all of us, and available to all of us. All we have to do is open our hearts to it.
"I have come to understand through science, experience, and religion that there is nothing which exists alone. All things exist in interdependence and interconnection." Rev. Dr. Adam Robersmith, Sr. Minister at the Universalist Church of West Hartford, Ct.
