Our mission is to hold space for artists and art lovers to learn, unlearn, and relearn self and community.  Our flagship show, Evolution Dopen Mic is the 2nd longest running open mic series in Newark. Battle published four full-length poetry collections, the most recent being ON THE RIGHT SIDE, and has released his first spoken word album, DON’T RUN on all streaming platforms. He holds an MFA in poetry from Rutgers-Newark and BA in English from Rutgers-New Brunswick, where he was also President of its poetry collective, Verbal Mayhem.
