Kick off Newark Valley Summerfest with a fun, patriotic morning at Trout Ponds Park for the inaugural Stars, Stripes & Strides 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 8:30 AM!  Not a runner?  Commemorative T -Shirts available for purchase as well!

This family-friendly community event will wind through beautiful Newark Valley before the Summerfest parade and festivities begin. NOTE: This is a community fun run/walk route and is approximately 5K but has NOT been officially certified or measured. Runners, walkers, families, strollers, and patriotic spirit teams are all welcome! Register before June 19th for $25 Adult and $20 Youth. COURSE INFORMATION
The race will begin at Trout Ponds Park and FINISH near the Summerfest Parade line up area.
Participants are encouraged to:
*Walk to the race from the town hall parking area
*Carpool or park vehicles near both the start and finish locations
*Stay after the race to enjoy the parade, walk in the parade and enjoy refreshments being offered by The Friends of Tappan Spaulding Memorial Library as a fundraiser.

After the race, stay for:
? The Summerfest Parade
? Classic Car Show
? Vendors & Community Activities
? Festivities all day long throughout the village

• $20 Seniors & Students/Youth
