# Event Details

- **Event Name**: River Dip / Swim and social drink after
- **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 15 Oct, 2026 at 06:00 pm (+01:00)
- **Event Description**: cold water swim/dip in the River Trent.

This is one of my regular swim spots. It's safe, I know the spot well and its a gentle walk in entry to the water.

This will be an intro to open water and doing cold water dips/swims. Now is the best time start before the water temps really drop.

Benefits of cold water dipping/swimming: mood boosting, mental wellbeing, energising, soothes aching joints/muscles, boosts immunity, reduces inflammation to name a few.
