Join Me (Dave Fargher) for the first ever Newark on Foot walk – a relaxed, informal Sunday morning stroll where we’ll explore Newark together.
This isn't a tour or an educational guide.....It's purely for enjoyment, community, a social thing and perhaps a little bit of learning about where we live, an informal walk and talk.
We may chat about places we go past, but nothing too heavy. its not a history lesson, just a bunch of folk having a wander, having a natter and being outside in our wonderful town.
Walk starts at 10:30 (be a few minutes early) at the Benches on Newark Riverside Park (opposite the castle) - a rough route is attached
KEY INFO for the 19th 🙂
This isn’t a tour, and I’m not selling you anything (no book promotions so you can breathe a sigh of relief)🙂
It’s just a nice walk with a group of others who care about Newark and community.
What to Expect
This is a communal walk, not a guided tour, theres no leader as such, just a bunch of folks having a nice sunday walk on a rough route :)
It’s about enjoyment, community, and maybe a little bit of learning about where we live, you're going to be surrounded by people who know and love the town
You’re welcome to chat, share stories or memories, things happening in and around the town, or just walk quietly and enjoy the scenery.
I suffer from social anxiety too, so I understand this might be a big step for some — you’re very welcome whether you’re chatty or quiet.
Anyone can come and go as they please during the walk, if you want to go off in a separate group at any time.. cool, its more about connecting people and having a natter and wander.
Introduce yourself to those your near to and have a nice time
Everyone is responsible for their own safety 🙂
📜 Three Simple Rules

This isn’t a business, council, or political thing – just good folks enjoying a walk and a chat.
It’s free, open to all, and the idea is to build a community group that doesn’t need a leader – just people who fancy a wander and a natter.
again, im not a tour guide. just hoping to get good people together, connect with people and have a nice few hours wandering around, taking photos, enjoying each others company
